Wild Fire Property Tax Relief

We all are suffering great loss even if we haven’t been directly affected by the wild fires. For those of you that have experienced loss of property, please be sure to complete the required forms to receive property tax relief.  We are available to assist in any way needed to facilitate the claim process so that you can begin to rebuild your home and/or business. There are two claim forms that must be completed with varying deadlines. The first form titled “Reassessment of Property Damaged or Destroyed By Misfortune or Calamity” is specific to reporting the loss of property. The second form titled “Property Tax Deferral Application is specific to deferring property tax installment. Presently, taxpayers may request deferral for the second installment due February 1, delinquent April 10.  Same must be done for each subsequent installment by the delinquent date.

We know it will take years to rebuild, but hope we can provide some assistance in the meantime to alleviate the immediate loss of property.
